A big thank you

Posted by APSCo on November 27, 2012

I’d like to thank everybody who attended this year’s Bollywood themed Charity Ball for once again making the event a huge success.

Now in its thirteenth year, the annual APSCo Charity Ball was held on 23rd November 2012 at the InterContinental Hotel, Park Lane. As always, all money donated on the night will go to ChildLine and the huge generosity of our guests was overwhelming.

In September 2011, APSCo was announced as an official partner of the NSPCC. The NSPCC’s ChildLine, APSCo’s chosen charity, was formed in 1985 and since then has lent help, support and practical advice to children under the age of 18 who find themselves in difficult circumstances. In 2007, ChildLine provided counseling to over 600,000 children. Each £5 raised allows the charity to answer a child’s cry for help.

I’m sure you will agree that we all had a fantastic evening in aid of a very worthy cause. We’ll keep you posted on the grand total raised, which I’m sure will be substantial and we’ll be posting videos and photographs from the event throughout the week – so watch this space.

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peak of the highlights:

Say hello to our newest recruits…..

Posted by APSCo on May 11, 2012

We’ve taken on plenty of new business in recent months, launched new initiatives, and hosted several new events. As a result – and to facilitate further growth –  we’ve taken on two new team members.  Some of you may have already met or spoken with Tijen and Conor, but for those of you who are yet to do so here’s a brief introduction:

Tijen Yusuf

Tijen has joined us as an events coordinator. She has a strong background in creating and managing events for a wide variety of causes.  Prior to joining us Tijen worked targeting  NEETs (individuals not currently in education, employment or training) to help them  find the right path to employment, and has also spent time working for APSCo’s chosen charity – NSPCC Childline – as an events intern.

Conor Silk

Conor has joined the team as a new membership relations support assistant as part of his MiddletonMurray Apprenticeship placement. Conor has been brought in to help our relationship managers in their day-to-day work and is already making a real difference here at APSCo.

Not only do we promote the importance of using APSCo members when finding new talent, but we only use APSCo members ourselves. To find out more about the MiddletonMurray pre-apprenticeship programmes click here.
